We get asked all the time if we can we modify our plans? Of course we can. Just ask The Murchison's who recently closed their home with us in July. They purchased our Liberty spec home while the home was under construction and made numerous changes to the plan to compliment their home "vibe"
At time of the purchase the only work completed was the poured foundation and plumbing roughed in.
The Murchison's wanted to make modifications to the plan but but had to stay within the confines of the existing foundation and plumbing. That was the challenging part! But they persevered and we made the changes they desired for their new home! A new plan was drawn and new prices were requested from the subs and suppliers and we were back to building once again! Through Covid, supply line disruptions and weeks of rain we were miraculously able to close on time and get these precious people into their new home.
The biggest plan changes were their desire for two master suites. The current Liberty plan master area was fine except for a few customer must haves. We replaced the shower and tub and created a beautiful walk in shower with black polished hex shower floor tile and white ceramic 4x16 field tile for a beautiful, classic vintage look. Lighting was upgraded and they had 11 1/2" X 47" Black Forest Blauen tile installed throughout the entire house.
The biggest challenge was redesigning the guest side of the house to become the second master suite. It was a very successful endeavor as you can see below. We removed walls and redesigned the space to include a fabulous sitting room. The guest tub/shower area become another stunning walk in shower. Upgraded tile, lighting and floor tile makes this second master suite a design delight.
The living room area and entry remained the same except for a few changes being upgraded lighting, upgraded tile floor and sheetrock wall in lieu of our stellar architectural wood wall that defines our homes.
Our standard kitchen range with OTR microwave gave way to a drop in glass cook top and wall oven/microwave combo in the very hot Black Stainless Steel finish. Homeowner choose 4x16 white ceramic tile for the backsplash. Our standard white quartz countertop with upgraded oil rub bronze cabinet pulls, plumbing fixtures and lighting set the tone for this handsome and very sexy kitchen/dining room. We added floor to ceiling Walnut cabinets in the laundry room as well as a Walnut base cabinet with white quartz top for folding laundry.
The exterior colors were a collection of her timeless favorites. They upgraded the exterior lights and garage door and requested a concrete circle drive for easy access to the front door. The rear porch is our standard with fabulous 1x6 T&G wood ceiling set in some of the most serenest backyard settings in Canyon Lake.
It was easy to work with the Murchsion's as Jonna has excellent taste and it was fun collaborating with her on finishes, textures and colors. As you can see modifications are available when you build with us but they do cost time and money.
